About Us
8 Years old and still going strong!
The E Project has gone through many iterations in its lifespan. Originally conceived by founder Ken Crow, the theater was created to give new and imaginative works of theater a home in the Denver metro area. Early productions of Three Tall Women, How I Learned to Drive, and Dirty Blonde demonstrated the theater’s commitment to new work and expressive voices in theater.
The E Project grew from its original space in the Blue Moon Bookstore, to a larger home at Colfax and Kipling, and then again to a slightly larger space and its current location just a few doors down. The theater now seats 68, and with ticket prices from $12-16, provides an intimate spot to enjoy the arts at an affordable cost.
Now entering its 8th season of presenting theater, and under the guidance of new Artistic Director Michael Emmitt, the theater is on the verge of something big! A blockbuster season including new works, old classics, fully staged musicals, and biting drama will compliment the flat-out comedies that E Project audiences have come to know and love. Joining the mix will also be staged reading of new works by local playwrights, and a few late night shows to spice things up a bit.
We hope you’ll join us for a night of theater right here at home, without the hassle or cost of downtown theaters!
