Meg Curry
Executive Director, Performing Arts Academy of Lakewood

Meg, originally from Maine, holds a BA from the University of Maine at Farmington in Psychology with a minor in Theatre Arts. Meg has over 20 years of theatre experience as an actor, director, and vocalist. Meg is currently serving as the executive director of the PAAL Program.

Emily has a BA in Theatre from Rockford College, and has 14 years of experience in the performing arts as an actor, technical crew, and director. She has taught many children’s performing arts classes and directed children’s theatre for the last several years.

Michael Emmitt holds a BA in Drama from the State University of New York College at Potsdam. While in college, Michael performed with the Crane Opera Ensemble, acted in and directed numerous shows, and even produced an outdoor theater festival. Michael has lived in Colorado for almost five years now, and is thrilled to be able to contribute his skills and experience as a teacher for the PAAL program, and as Artistic Director for The E Project. Michael continues to perform around the country in musical theater and operetta, and maintains a private vocal studio.

Dustin Carlson

Dustin is a native of Colorado and has worked in the performing arts most of his life. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado. During the past 10 years, Dustin has been dedicated to promoting and teaching theatre arts education to children and youth. His past directing credits at The Performing Arts Academy of Lakewood include The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the highly successful Miracle Worker. As an actor, he has done several shows in the Denver Area but was last seen on stage here at the E Project in Room Service in 2006.

Kytriena “Kat” Payseno

Kytriena Payseno (also known as Kat), has been with The E Project for two years now. Performing, directing, designing, and most importantly bringing theatre to our communities children. She has her Associates in the Arts from Community College of Denver, and her Bachelor’s of Arts (Theatre), and concentrations in literature and linguistics at Metropolitan College of Denver. Kytriena has been working in Colorado’s theatre communities for twenty years, and plans on many more. In addition she plans on opening a private performing art school, continue acting, and obtain her Master’s of Fine Arts. Currently she is working with Kidstage to bring theatre to elementary schools who can’t afford such art programs. She is also working with Kaiser Permanente’s touring program, performing in health conscience plays all over Colorado.
