The Intermediate Theater Workshop offers teens (ages 12-18) the opportunity to delve into the theater arts in a six-week workshop. Among other things, participants will learn basic improv, monologue, and scene work tactics, how to audition for a part, and how to create believable and engaging characters. This workshop meets for 90 minutes once a week for six weeks.

Session Two: Intermediate Performance Workshop (Ages 12-18)

The Intermediate Performance Workshop for ages 12-18 offers teens the opportunity to build on previous theater skills they have developed and to use them in a performance-based workshop. Participants will learn more about developing believable characters, interpreting subtext, analyzing a script, and other important skills necessary for performing with excellence. The workshop culminates with a one-act performance produced by the participants. Acting for Young Children (Ages 4-7)
Description: This workshop will introduce young children (ages 4-7) to an understanding of theater basics and will give students a sense of confidence on stage. We use a mix of energetic games, dramatic play, and lots of props and costumes to help bring out your child’s true potential. Your children will not only gain theater skills, but they will gain confidence, they will improve their ability to focus, and they will find a creative outlet in which to make new friends and to have a lot of fun. Session One provides age-appropriate activities to help your children gain skills in stage presence, theater voice, character development, and using props and costumes. Session Two gives children the opportunity to use all of these skills by putting together and performing a dramatic production. This workshop meets for 90 minutes once a week for four weeks.

Acting for Children (Ages 8-11)
Description: Give your older children (ages 8-11) an opportunity to see their self esteem grow as they learn the basics of acting in an environment designed for older children. Blending theater games with age-appropriate lessons, our teachers will give your children a creative outlet which will help boost your children’s confidence, improve their concentration, and allow them to make friends in a fun environment. Session One provides students with the basic skills they will need to be successful on stage. Session Two gives children the opportunity to use all of these skills by putting together and performing a dramatic production. This workshop meets for 90 minutes once a week for four weeks.
